Privacy Policy

We collect the following information so the service can work:

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address and a unique account identifier. We use this to create and secure your account.
• Child profile information.You may add a child's first name and date of birth. We use the date of birth only to show age-appropriate worksheets. This information is provided by you, the adult account holder — not collected from children directly.
• Activity information. We record which worksheets are viewed, printed, completed, saved, and any difficulty or enjoyment ratings you provide, so we can personalize the worksheet feed.
• Purchases. If you buy tokens through the app, Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your card details; we store a transaction reference and your token balance to deliver what you purchased.
• Device & technical information. If you enable notifications, we store a push-notification device token. Our servers also keep standard logs (such as IP address and request times) to operate and secure the service.

• Provide, maintain, and improve the worksheets and the service.
• Personalize and recommend age-appropriate worksheets.
• Process token purchases and maintain your balance.
• Send notifications you have opted into.
• Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, we do notuse it for personalized advertising or track children across other companies' apps or websites. Adult advertising measurement is optional and requires a separate choice, described below.

If you choose “Allow analytics,” we use Google Analytics to understand visits to our public pages, confirmed new account creation, successful worksheet display in adult browse mode, and requests to print. A print request does not tell us whether anything was physically printed. Analytics is optional and does not affect access to worksheets. We do not load Google Analytics or send analytics requests before you opt in.

We send fixed page categories and broad referral categories instead of raw page URLs, search parameters, page titles, or referring URLs. We do not send names, emails, account or child identifiers, birthdays, profile details, worksheet identifiers, worksheet content, or personalization prompts to Google Analytics. Child profile and personalized feed screens are excluded. We do not enable Google signals or use analytics for advertising personalization. Google Ads measurement has a separate, optional consent choice described below.

After opt-in, we keep a broad source category (such as Pinterest), landing-page category, journey stage and expiry in this tab’s session storage. A visit can be linked to signup for up to 30 minutes, then to the first successful full worksheet display in adult browse mode for up to 30 minutes after signup. We do not measure child-context use in this journey. Withdrawal clears these records. No raw campaign query values or personal identifiers are stored there. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies with a random browser identifier to distinguish visits and may collect technical browser, device, session and engagement information. Google receives network information when your browser contacts its service. These browser estimates are not a count of named people or verified adult accounts. Use “Privacy preferences” at the bottom of any page to reject analytics or withdraw permission. We remember your choice for up to six months. Withdrawal stops future collection, removes our analytics cookies from this browser and reloads the page; it does not erase data already received by Google. Our Google Analytics user-level and event-level retention is set to two months; standard aggregate reports may remain longer. We also respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Blocking storage keeps analytics off.

Only if you separately choose “Allow advertising measurement,” we load the Google Ads base tag on public landing and sign-in pages. An earlier analytics choice does not authorize advertising measurement. Account, child, personalized feed and worksheet pages are excluded from the Ads tag.

Google may receive advertising identifiers, cookie information, technical browser information and network information to associate visits with advertising interactions. We provide fixed public page categories instead of arbitrary URL parameters and do not send names, email addresses, account identifiers, child details or worksheet content. Personalized advertising and enhanced conversions are disabled; restricted data processing is requested. This base tag does not report signup conversions.

Both choices are remembered for up to six months. Use “Privacy preferences” to reject or withdraw advertising measurement. Withdrawal removes advertising cookies set by this integration and reloads the page without its Ads configuration. Previously received data is not erased. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control keep this measurement off. See Google’s advertising technology information.

The Sprout is designed for adults to use on behalf of children. We collect a limited amount of information about a child (first name and date of birth) only when an adult account holder chooses to add it, and we use it solely to provide age-appropriate content. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children, show them advertising, or use their information for any purpose other than operating the service. You can review, edit, or delete a child's profile at any time from your account. If you believe a child has provided us information without adult involvement, contact us and we will delete it.

We share information only with service providers that help us run The Sprout:

• Sign-in providers (Apple, Google) to authenticate your account.
• Google measurement services only for the optional analytics and advertising choices you separately allow.
• Apple to process in-app purchases.
• Cloud hosting and database providers that store data and run the service on our behalf.
• AI content providersthat help generate and select worksheets. When personalizing the feed, we may share limited, non-identifying signals such as a child's age and activity patterns — never names, email addresses, or other directly identifying details.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete a child profile or your account, we delete the associated personal information, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.

• Access, edit, or delete child profiles from within the app or website.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
• Turn notifications on or off in your device settings.
• Delete your account, which removes your associated personal information.

We operate from the United States and may process and store information there. By using The Sprout, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of The Sprout after an update means you accept the revised policy.
